Steven Gerrard thinks Luis Suarez can have an even bigger impact on the Barclays Premier League than Carlos Tevez.

Tevez netted an impressive 24 goals last term to help Manchester City win the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League.

But our skipper reckons Suarez can outshine his South American counterpart on the back of being named player of the tournament during Uruguay's Copa America triumph this summer.

"Luis is a special player, he really is," Gerrard is reported as saying in today's national newspapers. "He's so good. His movement, his touch, his awareness and the way he takes his goals is fantastic.

"It's natural you are going to compare him to Tevez because of his build, his shape and the way he plays. But I think he can go on to be even better."
