Liverpool Football Club can confirm the pre-season game with Tranmere Rovers has been brought forward by 24 hours and will now be played on Tuesday July 10.

The fixture, to be held at Prenton Park, was originally scheduled to be contested on Wednesday evening.

However, it’ll now take place a day earlier, with kick off remaining at 7.30pm BST.

The Reds and Tranmere have taken the decision to bring forward the game to avoid any potential clash with a World Cup semi-final for England should they progress beyond Sweden in Saturday’s last-eight tie.

Liverpool's first friendly of the summer - against Chester FC at the Swansway Chester Stadium - will remain unchanged from its originally scheduled 3pm kick off on Saturday.
