"What is it that makes the classic British football ground?"

That question is answered in LFCTV’s brand new documentary This Is Anfield, which tracks the evolution of Liverpool FC’s home from its humble early years all the way to the expansion of 2016.

The film, set to premiere at 8pm BST on Sunday September 18, tells the entire story of the stadium through the people who made it – featuring exclusive interviews with a range of club legends and key figures.

Expert insight is also provided by Simon Inglis, an architectural historian and writer who specialises in football and the grounds which host the game.

He says of the ingredients for an iconic stadium: “It’s about continuity. It’s about where your dad went, where your grandfather went.

“It’s about a build-up over the years of stories, sounds, smells and memories which you just simply can’t replace anywhere else.”

Relive your favourite Anfield moments by watching the unmissable This Is Anfield this coming Sunday on LFCTV and LFCTV GO.
