Academy duo Kevin Stewart and Jordan Williams paid a special visit to Croxteth Primary School last Tuesday to take part in the Liverpool FC Foundation’s Premier League School Sports programme.

The club’s official charity works alongside the Premier League to help deliver PE lessons to the youngsters who attend the school in Liverpool, which is also engaged with the Kirkby mini-league which takes place at the Academy.

Stewart and Williams took part in a PE lesson ran by the LFC Foundation coaches before offering some advice and guidance to those who joined in with the SAQ (speed, agility, quickness) and athletic activities.

On visiting the school, Reds defender Stewart said: “It is brilliant to be able to visit the local community and take part in a PE session alongside the children as it brought back some great memories of being in school.

“I think it is really important that the children understand how important getting a good education is. The kids were really excited to see us which makes visits like this really rewarding for us as professional footballers.”

Andrea Cooper, head of the LFC Foundation, added: “It is great to have Kevin and Jordan from the Academy visit Croxteth Primary School today to show their support for the Premier League’s School Sports Programme.

“Today’s visit is another example of the great work that the LFC Foundation delivers and provides youngsters with an opportunity to be coached by some qualified LFC coaches.”
