Liverpool Football Club today announced the launch of the official LFC Youth Wristband for young fans to wear on matchdays at Anfield.

The wristbands will be available at the first Barclays Premier League home game, against AFC Bournemouth on Monday August 17.

The creation of the wristband is to ensure that any child who becomes separated from their parent or guardian can be reunited as quickly as possible.

The following areas at Anfield will be distributing the wristbands: Family Park, Family Zone, fan support, LFC store and ticket office windows.

Liverpool FC operations director, Andrew Parkinson, said: “I think the LFC Youth Wristband is a fantastic idea and one that can only be beneficial on a busy matchday.

“Anfield regularly attracts 45,000 supporters so this will act as an important tool in ensuring that any youngster that does become separated from their responsible adult is returned as quickly as possible.”

The LFC Youth Wristbands will also be provided to gate staff and stewards, as well as tour guides, in order to ensure that all staff at Anfield are able to assist young supporters.
