Match preview: U23s ready for Tottenham test
Liverpool U23s hope to strengthen their position at the top of Premier League 2 when they face Tottenham Hotspur at Stevenage on Monday night.
Neil Critchley's side beat Derby County 1-0 last weekend and will head into the clash with Spurs full of confidence.
However, with several players departing on loan before the transfer window closed, some new faces may be making Premier League 2 bows.
With second-placed Leicester losing at Chelsea on Friday night, the young Reds would go six points clear at the top with victory.

"With a number of players going out on loan we will certainly have a new look to the side. We always say we don't want to stand in the way of a boy and his development, and if everyone is in agreement then a loan move is the best option.
"With Harry Wilson going to Hull City and Ovie Ejaria at Sunderland it is a great opportunity for them to play in the Championship. We will have a few new faces on Monday night and it's up to them to grab the opportunity that is going to come their way.
"Early on in the season we had a fantastic win over Tottenham at Anfield. It was a terrific evening for us and it's always a great opportunity to play there. Harry scored a first-half hat-trick and he was on fire that night! It was an entertaining game with lots of goals, chances and I'm expecting something similar on Monday.
"People keep telling me we are top of Premier League 2 and it's important that we are up there and we want to do well and win games. We are out to win but just as pleasing for us is seeing the boys who have gone out on loan get starts and that is just as important.
"This team doesn't go on to have a career in football. Eventually this team will break up and players will move on, hopefully to our first team or Melwood.
"If they don't then we have to provide the right pathway for them to go on and have a career.
"But whatever team we will have out on Monday night we want to win the game and I'm sure the boys will be chomping at the bit and desperate to prove themselves at U23 level. I'm excited by it and it's almost a fresh start with a new team and we are ready to go."
