Young Reds secure third place in Spax Cup
Liverpool's U19 side finished in third place in the prestigious Spax Cup in Germany after beating Wolfsburg in the play-off on Monday afternoon.
After losing a close semi-final 1-0 to Arsenal, Neil Critchley's side beat Wolfsburg 1-0 thanks to a goal from Portugal midfielder Paulo Alves.
Schalke won the tournament in Ennepetal courtesy of a 3-0 win over Arsenal in the final.
