Match preview: Liverpool Ladies return to action at Sunderland

Liverpool Ladies return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Sunderland at Mariners Park in the Women's Super League.

Scott Rogers' charges last played in the league on October 7, when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Before the international break, the Ladies got themselves back to winning ways with a 6-0 victory over Sheffield FC Ladies in the Continental Cup. It was a special night for captain Gemma Bonner, who made her 100th appearance for the club.

"We have a long-term project here at Liverpool Ladies to develop our young talented players and give them opportunities. One of my main aims is to try and develop the youngsters and bring them through and it will take time, but I think we are on track with that and the future is promising. We have got a lot of kids in our squad and we have faith in them."
