Liverpool Ladies sign U23 international Bethany England on loan

Liverpool Ladies have completed the loan signing of England U23 international Bethany England.

Reds manager Scott Rogers has acquired the services of the versatile 23-year-old from Chelsea Ladies for the 2017-18 season.

England, an attacking midfielder who is also capable of playing as a striker, came through the ranks at Doncaster Rovers Belles before joining Chelsea Ladies in 2016.

On making the move to Liverpool Ladies, she said: "This is a fantastic move for me and I cannot wait to get started.

"The squad at Liverpool Ladies is a young, ambitious squad and I am really confident that we can have a successful season.

"I am at an age now where I want to be playing more regularly, so this move is a really exciting one and I am already looking forward to the Merseyside derby on September 22."

Ladies manager Rogers said: "Bethany is an extremely talented player who is very creative and will no doubt add more goals to our team.

"The fact that she has already played in the FA WSL1 is a big bonus as she won’t need much time settling in and I believe she will be a key player for us this season.

"Quite a few clubs enquired about signing Bethany so we are absolutely delighted that she has chosen to sign for Liverpool Ladies.

"I am really confident that she will be a fantastic addition to our squad and will help make us even more of a threat going forward."
