Liverpool win LMA Performance of the Week award

Liverpool's 4-0 victory over West Ham United on Sunday has earned the League Managers Association's Performance of the Week award.

The Reds kicked off the new Premier League season with a comprehensive win at Anfield courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane (two) and Daniel Sturridge.

And the manner of their display caught the eye of the LMA voting panel, comprised of chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

They picked out Liverpool’s success for recognition and Jürgen Klopp will therefore receive a Performance of the Week trophy and bottle of champagne as a result.
