Liam Kershaw arrived at the Academy in 2001 as a part-time community coach after completing a Sports Science Degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
In 2003 he began training as a physiotherapist at Manchester University before a four-year spell in the NHS with Aintree University Hospital.
During this time he maintained his involvement in Kirkby and was the part-time physio for the U9-16s on matchdays and in evening clinics.
He is now a full-time member of the Academy medical team and works alongside Andy Renshaw providing treatment, rehab and matchday cover.
On taking on his current role, he said: "Being a lifelong Liverpool fan it was an opportunity that I couldn't turn down."
