John Miles is Liverpool’s Academy U11 coach and took up the role in September 2023.

A former academy player, boyhood Liverpool fan John was an attacking midfielder who first joined the club at the age of 14 following a spell with Everton.

He attended his first Liverpool game at the age of four and was a season ticket holder since the 1986 FA Cup final.

John came through the Academy under the stewardship of Steve Heighway, Hughie McAuley and Dave Shannon.

He was a popular figure amongst regulars who watched the reserve team and regularly trained at Melwood alongside the likes of Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Emile Heskey and Jari Litmanen.
