Seen him play a couple of times. Happy he came to us as other big clubs were looking at him. Exciting young talent and wouldn't be surprised if he made it into the 1st team next season.
"I am very excited aboout the signing of Shelvey and that too of Raheem Stirling. It's great we as a club are looking at top young British talent. More so at the fact we've seemed to get both at snip!! Not at the silly price like Arsenal paid for Walcott. Hopefully they, along with any others that come in, will realize their potential and prove to be quality, astute and bargain signings."
"enlgish talent! however if he can become a star within the next two or three years it would be brilliant for us. Can't wait to have him, Gerrard, Mascherano, Aqua in midfield!!"
"This lad looks amazing. i have only seen him in 1 game but on both FM10 and CM10 he has a lot of potential. hopefully he will achieve all he is capable of and be a key player bringing sucess to the club in the future years. good luck Jonjo and welcome to the club"
"Good thing is he will be home grown at this club in a few years for champo/europa.
just remember Rafa hardly plays pacheco so what is the chance we will see Jonjo??
Rafa needs to breed him young. not when he is 20 and half of his potential is gone."
"I dont like those good words abt him by everyone. OK i understand hes a very good player but he will be under pressure to perform well after all those words. Leave him alone ppl. anyway hope u will be a gr8 player for us."
"I have to agree with
mikescherano snapping up the best talent in the UK for prices like that is a great way of doing business.
Paying 20 million for someone who is still injured and was for another 6 months is not my idea of 'good business'"
"A good catch.... nice to have young raw talents, but we've got a few in the academy right now who are not being used! Give them some exposure to 1st team games please!"
"With the hype he's getting, it will possibly be difficulty for him to adapt in the first season due to pressure, but I'm sure Stevie will teach him stuff.
But if he's as good as everyone says, then he should have no trouble taking over from Gerrard in the future."
