I think that Cole would be a great signing. He's an experienced premier league player. An international. He can play in a variety of midfield roles. Also he's only 28, which means he still has a good few years left in him. Also being an english player means that if these new euro rules come in, we'll have a quality player to play and not, a youngster who's liable to make mistakes.

"Could be a quality signing. He's quick, has skill, can pass reasonably well and can score goals. Which is what we need!! Torres said that we would need 4 or 5 world class players. Despite the injury and the fact he doesn't play every game (anymore) he has proven that he is one. He did win the Premiership , which is what we want, afterall."

"Cole is now a spent force, he's struggling to hold down a regular place in th side, how then can we make him work, let's look for younger guys who will give us more."

"Joe Cole is a great player for THE REDS but I think that Liverpool should also try to bring Theo Walcott and Jermain Defoe to Anfield"

"Definitely would improve our team. We need someone like him to replace riera, and Cole more than fits the bill"

"I think cole would be a great signing, he can play anywhere in our attacking 3 behind torres and is a very creative player. He has the confidence to try and take it round his man and he has a great eye for a pass, aswell as a decent shot on him. "

"I don't think we should sign Cole, yeh he's better than Riera but I think we should concentrate on Turan. I know he's short and no pl experience but we need a winger who can beat a man, and please sign a decent lb."

"Sign Turan or Silva, not Cole. Any1 who's not good enough for Chelsea shouldn't be good enough for us"

"I like Joe Cole as an attacking alternative, he is definitely an experienced player and if he's in form he's going to start producing right away, and that's what we need to keep in mind next season. But if this is true I don't know what's going to happen with Jovanovic then, if he's supposedly coming to Anfield next season."

"i do not think he will fit in the livpool style of play. can not do zonal marking or win ball if he loses iam a bit worried by such players coming towards the end of their span, will rather have lucas who have years ahead of him"

"We don`t need cole because it`s not what liverpool need now .we already have jovanovic for the left wing and with beni & babel also. we need a quality striker and someone to replace jamie thats all we need. i think david villa would suit us well and it seems he want to come too so no problem. LFC would have 50 millions to buy players in the next transfer window so welcome david villa mark my words"

"I think Cole is a great player and a great signing for any club. Now especially, with Riera gone, Liverpool would be very welcome to have him. But Maxi isn't doing bad either. I think Maxi should be moved to the right midfield. Kuyt and Torres up front. Gerrard right behind them. With Maxi, Mascherano, Cole on midfield."

"Signing him is not a bad idea, but only if we expect him to be a squad player and give him the chance to recover his past form. On the other hand, if anyone expects Joe Cole to be an instant world beater, it would be a huge mistake. His wage demands are incredible, he is prone to injury, and he is 28 years old, it would be a huge gamble. But a new club and environment could be what he needs. "

"I think he still has a fair bit to offer, but he would be a bit of a gamble so the price would have to be right. I'd rather go for SWP. Would also love Milner, but realise that O'Neill would sooner die then sell him to us...Villa/Silva my most wanted overseas players..And if we are looking to take a striker form BigNose at Sunderland then it surely has to be Bent!?! "at 28, best years are ahead of him. like ANY PLAYER, if he gets a good run of games, will shortly rediscover his best form. even in bad form, can offer a lot because of his quality and work ethic. remember that chelsea WANT HIM, but roman wants to rejuvenate old squad. we need more experience and quality in our squad, but his wages will be a major talking point (reportedly look for 120,000 a week)"

"Cole would do Liverpool some good with his experience & capabilities, but WE should be cautious of his being injury prone! I dont see him as a better player than Riera if he's a replacement. Riera has more movement & is a better team player, contributing defensively, Cole on the otherhand has his best years behind him. hope Benitez takes Fans comments seriously. "
