"This is a smokescreen to deflect from the fact we are not likely to buy anymore players this summer. There will certainly be no big name signings. I am disappointed once again. Now BR somehow has to get an extra 10% per cent out of the players or no title challenge next season.Top 4 more realistic for next season now."

"The problem with the main stand is the roof support at the Kop end. This will restrict the building of a new Kop in the future. The current Kop will be dwarfed by the development. A new Kop would be needed which can blend in with the main and centenary stands, and also be higher and steeper. I hope the club can agree to a new Kop which would be owned by the fans, not by the club or sponsors."

"The talk was of a 60,000 capacity stadium, now we can't even get that, how are we supposed to keep up with other top sides, we need at least a 65,000 capacity, so come on Mr Henry"

"personally I would have preferred just the main stand making up the capacity to 58,000, which allows good extension on the other sides should the funding be available in the future. I understand the restriction on the overall size, there's restriction on how high Anfield can be & anything over 60K means LFC have to pay for transport link improvements"

"IS 58800 ENOUGH , I THINK NOT. FOR LFC TO COMPETE FINANCIALLY WITH THE BEST THEY SHOULD BE LOOKING AT 100 000 SEATER STADIUM , AND SENTIMENTALITY SHOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH THE REALITY OF FINANCIAL COMMON SENSE AND LONG TERM VIABILITY OF CLUB TO COMPETE AND SUSTAIN ITSELF AT THE TOP. "

5th Jun 2014 0:25
"BY THE TIME LFC BUILD TO 58800 CAPACITY ,IT WILL BE TIME TO HAVE A BIGGER STADIUM. LOOK AT CLUBS LIKE REAL MADRID AND BARCELONA ,LFC SHOULD BE LOOKING AT THE NEXT 100 YEARS AND THAT IS NOT A 58800 CAPACITY STADIUM.AIM BIG AND BE BIG THATS LFC "

"as im in building myself i know these things take time. to get planning/building permission can go on for yrs even. so we need to be patient. also 58000 doesnt mean we cant expand. it will eventually be 60,000. i highly doubt it can go higer than that as. 1. you need the space and there doesnt seem much. 2. it would take even longer to build."

"there is a pretty simple way to deal with tools on this site. This is great, It will add to Anfield but keep the atmosphere, there will always be room for further developement down the line. there is no way the residents would agree to a complete upscale but doing it in stages allows us to keep playing there and ppl get used to it being larger then are more open to it gettin larger again.
