"Thanks Macca but I'd love to see Liverpool fighting for the League. Fighting for a Champions League is not good enough. We've been doing that for the past how many years and that is exactly where we have ended."

"I agree that it is one game at a time but then aim for the "Sky" and you might reach the ceiling is still true. We have to aim to win the league but take a top 4 failing that. Stop aiming for TOP 4! Two years ago, Juventus got back into Serie A and won it for the next 2 seasons on the trot. Proof that it can be done even coming form the lower league and without spending big."

"I agree with you Lfcfan007 aiming for top 4 is not good enough. We shud go for the ultimate price thats the Premier league cup"

"We have improved the poor areas from last season that cost us lots of points - goalkeeper, defence, our attack improved with Sturridge and Coutinho, but we can still improve our attack with a few more additions to have the best attacking line in the league. Exciting times ahead."

"3-5-2 aint gonna work against class teams like arsenal. They will rip us apart.Unless we are planning to play deep throughout and counterattack when required.4-4-2 wid moses and suarez in the flanks wid coutinho behind sturridge is the best policy. They can interchange positions."

"LFCFAN007 - Just to let you know Juventus got promoted and played in Serie A for the 07-08 season. They then won the le in 11-12 and 12-13. Thats a 4 year gap between promotion and winning it. While they never broke the bank like Man City the Italian league is not as competative as the Prem so they are a bad example."

"If we play this formation for the future we should give Ryan McLaughlin a chance because this guy has the potential to be great."

"i think it's great to have your head in the clouds but it's equally important to keep your feet on the ground. great start to season but we need to remain consistent, as finishing the season can be as crucial as starting it. "

"i don't think the formation will be a problem against better teams because BR is choosing the best formation for the players that are available. when Johnson and Coutinho come back, they will adjust the formation and will look much nicer. "

"i also think that fans still going on about Rafa Banitez should go support Napoli. he was not sacked by LFC, he opted out of his contract because he did not want to rebuild the squad, which was necessary at the time. all that aside, YNWA REDS."

"STEVE MCMANAMAN TALKING SENSE AS USUAL - "LIVERPOOL FANS KNOW THAT.THEY ARE INTELLIGENT. THEY KNOW SUCCESS BECAUSE THEY'VE HAD IT IN THE PAST." KEEP PICKING UP POINTS REDMEN AND HOPEFULLY, WE'LL BE UP THERE AT THE END. "

"Raheem Sterling needs practice running at players, and most of all needs to bulk up. He's too much of a wuss to be honest. Great pace though and he can be very composed in front of goal. All others looking promising and hopefully more to come. Clever business by Brendan, hats off to him."

"Adapting when needed. Changing tactics and personnel to get the most out of the squad. All good things which we have struggled to do in recent times. I like the football we're playing at the moment. Anything is possible."

"I'm not entirely sure if people have noticed but Luis Suarez makes a regular fool out of himself swiping at missed shots and running into players. But he tries, and with enough goes he succeeds. This is the thing, it's all about having the guts to run at players and not make an easy pass upfront. Jordan needs a lot of praise, he's been a real hero as of late."

"Still feel we are weak in midfield, a couple of good buys in January and we could well be up there in May."

"Scousemorals agree about Sterling. He gets pushed off the ball to easy, right wing back did not suit him. I think his best role could be as a striker - his pace is scary - when he gets behind the defence no one is catching him, also he is a good finisher ,very similar to Michael Owen in his prime. Maybe Rodgers will try him out there with Sturridge/Suarez."
