I like it the way it is. The only consideration I would have is ending the summer window at midnight on the day before the first ball of the new season is kicked. Allowing it to run over the first 2 to 3 games is just distracting.

"I think Mark Lawrenson named 3 or 4 things that would make football better and one was ending the transfer window. The idea was that a deadline means the richer clubs can 'gazump' smaller clubs offers at the last moment and 'steal' players."
