Liverpools side of 1987-1988 that was pure magic, one of the best ever witnessed. Also our last championship winning side was amazing. Barnes, Rush, Beardsley. Enough said.

"Absolutely Barcelona 2008-2012 guided by Pep Guardiola, but LFC 1987-1991 guided by KD was a spectacle for the eyes and it's upthere with the best in the history."

"I'm gonna choose a side I've seen play so I'll go 4 the Liverpool side of 2008 - 2009!"

"All the sides from 76 - 90. ?They where the best team in Europe at the time, I would say in World. Barcelona are great but we would have beat them. LFC drove the rise of English league to the best in Europe. I gave the platform for Aston Villa and Notts Forest."

"Technically in recent years the one that beat Real 4-1 and utd 4-1 and also Barca over 2 legs in the CL. We didn't get to play Barca after that in the few seasons after and since then we haven't qualified. We also didn't play Utd when they got to the final! Says a lot. "

"I remember a newspaper article asking is this Liverpool team better than Brazil of 1970? It was written in the late 1980's. I think it better was too. If not then the 1970 Brazil team were."

"Sorry guys,no LFC team would have come close to the 1970 Brasil side. The Dutch national team in 1978 played football better than just about anyone I have seen and I have been watching since 1950.The Barca side under Pep was as good as any club side EVER and in a match against our 87/88 team I would be hard pressed to pick a winner."

"Hard to judge the 'not always on T.V. and no europe challenge' late 80's side, but they were top class. Always had a soft spot for the 2001 side and tried to bet they'd win all 3 trophies but they couldn't calculate the odds at the time!"

"Agree with most of the things that have been said. The Brazil team of '82 were probably the best and purest football team of all times and to see them beaten by a shower of gangsters, Paolo Rossi, was a disgrace. The 'pool team of the 80's would be hard beat by anyone. International or club."
