"he has made only 1 goal in 5 years for Torino. We need CB who can score goals from set pieces like Hyypia and also be a leader like Carragher. Schalke captain Höwedes would be that kind of a player. Also Papadopoulos from Schalke would be good one too. We need more strength. Ambrose could also good to have if he can play DCM, so he could cover CB place and Lucas. "

As far as centre-half is concerned, we already have six options in Agger, Skrtel, Coates, Kelly, Wisdom, and young Stephen Sama. Admittedly Coates needs a few games to bring him up to speed and give him confidence. Modibo Diakite for free? Absolutely. "
