personally Olympiacos should have been 1st, THAT goal was the reason the rest was able to happen.

"St. Ettienne for me always was a great European night night but must agree the no.1 choice is about right as it went on to be the greatest night in LFC's history. Lets hope Thursday night can be rated as one for the top ten and for that the twelth man has to turn up as well."

"For sheer stunning atmosphere it has to be St Etienne only because the Kop had a capacity of 26000 that night and was bursting at the seams. Chelsea 2005 was a very close second"

"No surprise RAFA BENITEZ was in charge of 5 out of 10 here. FSG look no further if Brendan Rodgers doesn't fit the bill. Fans need to respect rafa a lot more for the nights he brought to Anfield. We would have never done it without him. One of our 5 European Cup winners will be respected by true LFC fans forever. You are always welcome back Rafa!!"

"Ra fa, Ra Fael, Ra Fa, Ra Fael, Ra Fa, Ra Fael.... Rafael BENITEZ!!!!!!!! I miss the power we had at Anfield. Teams were scared to see our names drawn with them. First Leg Home or Away didn't really matter. Rafa had the European gods with him all the time!!!! If Rafa was with us for 20 years I think we would double our European Cup tally. The force was with Us!!! BR god bless you. "

"Anyone who wins the European Cup should never be fired ...... Wise words from none other than Sir Alex Ferguson!!! FSG think about it if BR doesn't finish high enough in the league. Thank you!!"

"I remember the Olympiacos fans singing non stop from 1/2 hour before the match till Stevie G scored THAT goal. Amazing night only topped by the atmosphere for this match which was the best I've ever experienced at Anfield. Still get goosebumps now thinking about it."

"Real Madrid was a memorable game judging by the winning streak the Galacticos came to Anfield with plus Casillas getting Man of the Match despite taking four - it tells you how motivated the boys were...YNWA!"

"Bit of a biased write-up for this one saying the Kop was rocking an hour before kick off. St Etienne, the gates were locked just after 6 for a 7:30 kick off and to say the Kop was rocking would be an understatement."
