never seen a game of him, naver seen a footage, just seen plenty of photos, but from what I heard from the historians who have talked about him, it seems we are in front of a true absolute wordclass Legend, to put close to the various Di Stefano, Matthews, and so on! How I would have paid to see such a fantastic winger step on the Anfield turf! YNWA BL

"I saw Billy Liddle, his skills were that he was fast, a great dribbler, good with either foot, and when they put him up front as centre forward, turned out to be a great header of the ball. He was good enough for the team to be called Liddlepool when we were struggling in the second division."

"I just missed watching him play, my loss, i picked my top ten players, i could have easily picked my top 50, but they can't all fit into the top 10! shame really, so many "great" players, we fans are so lucky."
