dont know why numbers vary so much from 1 story to another. anyway subject to medical/work permit, welcome to philippe. hope your potential comes through. YNWA
"This is no doubt been Liverpools best transfer window for a very long time. I have always craved for Liverpool to sign attacking minded players and players that can make a difference. It has finally happened after such a long time. Next season we will challenge for the league and not just top 4, mark my words! "
"13,7m? its incredible.10m borini + 13,7 coutinho + 17m allen = 40m,that money could have get us 2 or 1 world class players.BR buys are weak. we already have youngs : borini, sturridge, sterling & suso as attacking players + great luis and we couldnt get 1 great mature player but another Baby for 13m its a joke"
"and where are he going to plays?in place of downing who are becoming 1 of BR fav player, not luis either sturridge. Surely to reduce the playing time of BR 10m borini or to slow down the progress of LFC promising young talents like Sterling and suso. so where are the Owners & BR leading us?"
"Finally the saga is almost over!! well done Brendan and the team for getting this transfer off the ground. and another supposed addition is heading our way too! i hope for Ince and Butland but i'd be happy with just the one YNWA"
"till hes getting tested and holding the scarf..he aint our player..as for the summer..who goes and who comes in???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????"
"great news!, but he won't come on cheap I guess, 13.7m euros is a remarkable fee for a unproved 20 years old! Anyway welcome to him! now I hope that the remaining budget will be spent either on Ince or even Butland! Onwards and upwards YNWA"
"Dont know much about him, only that he is good, thats why we were in a bidding war with Southampton who are facing potential relegation battle this year. Surely we can do better."
"we have just signed a talented player and people like LFCManager (Muppet) complain, firsly Borini is Class, signings like this force competition for places, you either step up and find your potential or you move on, you need a big squad when you are competing in Europe and domestic cups! "
"This is the best transfer window or such a long time, its make a mockery out of the last regimes trasfers.. 35 mil for carrol when sturridge is a better player than Carrol will ever be, courtinho is better than downing will ever be! and to be fair Borini is head and shoulders above Carrol in terms of movement and football brain. "
"Agree with LFC Manager here. Coutinho is a talent but what is BR plan for him. 13 million for a 20 year old who keeps getting sent on loan when you could of got Schneider for 7 million. Neither wanted to join us though so should of looked a bit harder for a rock in the middle. Isn't it time Yesil got a go in the first team too."
"Wow my numpty list is growing too much. I hope things like LFCMANAGER and
annieroadarmy never post again. How stupid do they sound when they think Allen cost us 17M and Coutinho 13.7M? Do they not know the difference between pounds and euros? "
"LFCMANAGER coutihnio is very mature in football sence simmiler level as neymar, coutinho plays for brazil which also shows his not actually baby level, we do need some 28 to 29 yr players"
"Great news!! All gone a bit quiet about young Ince, is this transfer aswell as Ince or instead of. Ince might be missing the boat, he has no future with Blackpool, look at Charlie Adam he has gone from Blackpool hero to Stoke squad player!!"
"i dont have any clue how he will perform but if we sign him hopes he will adapt quickly and be quality for us... but looks like we are scouting players that are not playing much, out of form...Borini, Sahin, Sturidge (still miss a lot but scored in every match though), sneijder and now Cotinho ...can be a great gamble but could end up improving our inconsistency too. "
"IF we are looking for potential world class for cheap, Porto and Madrid are the example to follow...and no Ince please try looking at the river plate squad for example... :)"
"I like the idea of buying young but feel coutinho is a big gamble especially since he's Brazilian look how long it took Lucas to adapt although granted he has turned awesome but can lfc afford to wait failure to secure 4th this season could see Suarez go:( come on BR bring in at least one quality exp player to help the team and the young guns develop"
"LFCMANAGER, Welcome back! Where have you been when KD wasted $100million plus last season!? and if you read carefully, that's 13.7million euro, not sterling Pound. of the total transfer fees for the three players you mentioned, Andy Carrol cost just as much. "
"Though I still have doubt that Coutinho can survive physical English football (as mentioned in my comment last week), But if Gaffer want his man, I support him. So hope the boy can prove me wrong. "
"To Coutinho, good players need time but Great players doesn't need time to adapt. Ask Daniel, Luis and Gerrard, who strike a goal from the middle of the pitch past Schmeichel on his 1st match vs Manu. You will expect a lot of tough love from Fans here. We don't do babysitter in Anfield. Anyway, Welcome to the great club!"
"Lonewar how can u say that borini is a class buy lol? whats he has? Look at michu Swansea brought him for 2m he's doing great. We have money to spend & already have many young talents : stur 23, Bor 20, Ster 18, Suso 19 & Luis 26 they're all young so why couldnt we get a confirmed W-Class player for 13m or + to bring In 1?If coutinho is so good as u say he wouldnt be on inter bench all the Time "
"ValiantSG I agree with u about Kenny and the board for spending 35m on Carroll, 20hendo and 20downing. They did most worse transfert business but the way BR are spending 10m or plus for young talents like borini & coutinho while the side already has many young players few ambitious clubs would does that 13 for a player who can't play with inter side it's a joke"
"LFCMANAGER. Glad to acknowledged that Kenny did worse transfer than BR. and I does see your point on over relying on youth players (like Arsenal) and me too have doubt on Coutinho playing English football (as mentioned earlier). Right now, I can only hope the boy can have a great start like Sturridge and Suarez. "
"Crashtestlfc4eva - You alongside several other Liverpool fans need to do research on knowing who are match winners and who are average. Lucas was never going to become world class, he lacks pace, vision, goals, assists. Even now I do not rate him highly but can only wish he does well every now and then. Coutinho is a world class player "in the making", enough said! "
