He is a New Zealander from Chilean descent and could be an interesting buy! Hope this is true! He looks like a descent striker and is only 21! Fits what FSG is looking foe! YNWA!

"What is it with FSG and young boys? I'm starting to get worried about the way things are going. Where are the experienced players we NEED. Their policy is really becoming that of buy cheap to sell big. Where in any of this is the football side of things? Its just Finances"

"Very interesting story. Coming from Melbourne and as a Victory fan I'm happy to vouch for this kid's talent, he's been pretty much the outstanding perrformer of the A-League this season. A step uo the EPL would be a challenge in terms of pace and physicality but if he and the club are happy to give him time to adjust, could be very exciting. "

"The role of owners of this club should be to assist the manager ( whom they chose ) in every single way to build a team to WIN the premier league and constantly challenge for Champs league. I see none of this in what FSG are doing. They should not be making policies that go against this."

"what's £500,000 these days when clubs waste millions on flops, go get get him, give him a go and if he fails after a couple of seasons we will have sold a load of shirts over there and sell him on and get money back, Craig Johnson and Harry Kewell did well for us."

"Also i dont spend thousands of pound a year on LFC so the owners can buy young players to sell and fill their pockets. I do it to see experienced players coming to the club at around 26, 27 who can give us 3 - 5 yrs of exciting football then move on with our thanks and our love and the only return they get is our everlasting admiration. NOT RESALE VALUE. "

"Yes I believe we should also build for the future but it shouldnt be the only thing we do. We need to build a foundation first and let the kids earn the right to wear the red shirt. Not be bought on tuesday and walk straight in the team on saturday at age 20. One or two are fine but its getting to be the whole squad."

"Christ, we are only sending scouts to watch a player, who would come cheap as chips, and the comments section explodes with people ging off FSG. There is absolutely 0 risk with this, and the potential for big reward. By the way, Rojas is high quality, being from Melbourne I watch him every week. Hopefully he impresses."

"never heard before, but he's just 21 and if he's quality why not add him to our strikeforce? For £500k he would be worth a punt!"

"Lets put it into perspective. He is young and has a good Goals to game ratio this season. He is the cost of 5 week's of what we were paying Joe Cole. Can we really lose? I say go for it. For me this is intelligent management of our club. Think we need less of the Anti FSG Comments."

"Look. just lean on victory and ull get him for a steal. he is talented. his left footed winger.problem is he is at a age 21 where transfer to reserves at a big club.. where reserves class would easy be better then any A-league team.. it may take a couple year for him to make a impact and by the he could be 24yrs old .. id give him a trial and u never know.. could be a stirling. YNWA"

"Young Rojas is a quality player! I'm a faithful Victory supporter who watches him every week we have a game here in Melbourne. Amazing skills, pacey, good passing, knows how to make attacking runs... for $500k, definitely worth a shot in my opinion!"

"interesting to see that Juventus are interested in him as well.. i wonder if their fans are giving so many negative comments against buying him as the so called FANS on here are giving our club.. he is £500k.. i say give him a go. he cant be any worse than Borini and he cost £11m!!!"

"=am i the only fan who thinks Gary Hooper could be a good purchase?? he is young knows where the goal is and lets face it the idea of football is to buy prolific players from lower leagues and give them a chance in a higher league.. "

"Dont know why everybody is talking about this lad, by the time LFC get round to placing a bid for him some other team would have got there sooner, cant every one see it's a ploy by fsg, they can say they are looking but the players are going to others clubs it's not our fault (fsg)"

"He is only 500k so you can't go wrong, looks fantastic. It's just whether he can do it in our league but like I said it's only 500k and well worth it."

"Worth a go.Fans go on about buying a made superstar for silly money. Why not buy a player with potential and develop him.As for Hooper, he might be good but I would query which is better, the A League or the Scots Premier!! ;)"
