"Whilst we are unlikely to unearth another Stevie G, this guy could be the closest we will come to, as he has great ability for somebody of just 20 years of age - including a forward thinking brain - and he can be a constant goal threat."
"jon jo has a big future at our club and at 20 years is already showing the potential needed. can be a little rash at times but i guess he is just trying his hardest for the club. he is big and strong and has a fierce shot on him.will become a regular starter in time and loves LFC. YNWA "
"plyNo1red
Those of us who have watched SGs carrer from the start will tell you he was quite rash in his early days. In fact it was pointed out by his youth team coach in the recent doentary on LFCTV celebrating his 600 appearances. Jonjo has a lot of similarities with the legend we uncovered 14 years ago! We can only hope he can reach the same heights with us. YNWA"
"Appears the Sturridge deal is a goer- the transfer story was wiped of the website quick smart. I actually think Sturridge just needs a home where he is loved and he will score goals. "
"Shelvey has great atude, love his commitment might get a few bookings along the way but these days you can't tackle anyway.Enjoy watching Reds play this season, not sure about sturridge though,Think Torres will go back to Spain, just proves that move away from Reds is not going to make you a better or happy player no matter how much cash is on offer, had this before with sicknote Owen..YNWA"
"Dunno what to make of Sturridge? Does seem the most likely of all the transfers being mentioned. Always thought his biggest criticism is that he fails to look up and find a player in a better position. Haven't we been guily of this too often? Particularly with Luis but at least he bangs em in. I would prefer a more composed player."
"a top all-round midfielder in the making, a box-to-box AM in the Stevie G mould, the progresses done by you are evident, just 20 years old means you have the makings of a future leader a bit like Stevie promised at that tender age, with your atude Jonjo keep working hard, the results will come and will be great! YNWA young Jonjo!! "
"Exactly the type of player we want at the club; selfless, intelligent, talented, and would bleed for the shirt. You've got a bright future Jonjo. Just tell me if you're going to keep number 33 so I know whether to buy your jersey or not!"
"Yea... Ladder up Jonjo.. you have been very good since joining us and improving by the minute.. Already a big favorite and like a son to us.. every time you play it feels like having a son on the pitch.. YNWA."
"I've said it before and I'll say it again. I personally think that Jonjo is better now than what SG was at the age of 20. Jonjo has a massive future in the game and its brilliant to know he wants to spend a very long time here at Anfield. YNWA Jonjo."
"This lad as got it in im to b in the team for the next 10 years dont want to say the new gerrard but its a fact I was at the game on sat and i was very happy with the team you se the lads go now LUCAS is back y n w a "
"we should bid for elisue from malaga eriksen moisander to push the cbs higuain huntella saldado.i also think jonjo is the future stevie with henderson and erikson.saldado is like owen a poacher liker huntella who has an arial threat so lets push for strengthening both the strong and our strengths"
"You can just tell jonjo wants to stay here for a long time, and he appreciate's that he's playing for a big club and that it's going to be hard to hold down a regular place. He is a quality player, he's still so young in the game, and he'll keep learning all the time. Can't wait to see him in 3 years time, no 1 can replace Gerrard but he's gonna be the closest thing. YNWA "
"I dont know why we see so less of him? Playing Suso when we have Shelvey does not feel right. he was really on the move before fergie got red card for him agasing Man Utd. He scored two goals just before that game and was doing really good. With the red card, The international break also came and he could not achieve the peak of his form. "
"Jonjo, loved your header in the Udinese match, your celebration was right in front of where I was sat for the first time to Anfield. What a night, shame on the result. Mate you and your calibre are teh future of this club, stick with us mate. YNWA"
"Youze lot saying he could never beat Gerrard, well lets just see eh, maybe he'll top him, hard ask, but who knows, he is learning with some of the best, and still only 20. Go On My Son, Come On You Reds, and get some more points/goals. Go Go Jonjo"
"Great guy indeed. we need you in a good shape against westham. please BR in Jan transfer we need a big name good forward like Cavani. i believe it boosts the winning mentality in the team and confidence plus ofcourse spark to the fans support. az of now lets win our games till then. YNWA."
"My team for Saturday: Jones(bigger and taller than Reina) Enrique, Agger, Skrtle, Johnson, Gerrard, Lucas (defensive), Shelvey, Suso (creator), Sterling (scorer), Assiadi (ceator)."
"THIS IS WHAT ANY BAD PLAYER LIKE SHELVEY WILL SAY because he doesn't have the choice, so he is oblidged to play at any post on the field otherwise pack up."
"Jonjo played like a follicly challenged Hotshot Hamish vs. Southampton. I like the way he plays because he's strong, fearless and has an instinct for goal. That said, he's still raw. If Jonjo could calm his exuberance in certain cirstances, then maybe he'd be a better player. The ball doesn't need to enter the net at 120 mph (though great if it does)."
"That's the atude our lads need. Great sacrifice despite foreseeing the brick bats that bound to 'shower' in case your performance in an unusual position don't bring result fans wanted.(Gerrard is now undergoing similar situation occasionally) Keep it up boy. YNWA!!"
