Oh dear all the promises now we are talking about loan deals in January for Darren Bent who cant get a game at lowly Aston Villa if we do sign someone he will be in the same situation sitting on the bench.

"It's another huge call by BR to bring in Bent, whose abilities always polarise opinion (decent/awful). It'd probably/should cost BR his job if he gets Bent & he doesn't score. IMO BR's other big calls have been the wrong ones: refusing Van Gaal as DoF, AC loan, buying Borini + arguably all his buys, swapping Steve Clarke with Swansea staff etc"
"Makes sense to me. Darren Bent has always scored goals wherever he has played. Out of favour at AV due to dispute with Lambert. On loan til the end of the season - means no major outlay. Liking the suggestion about swapping him for Downing! Face it guys our financial resources are limited!!"
