What has happened to our boy Gerrard???? Really gone off the boil? Maybe should think about knocking the England stuff on the head, and conserve your energy for LFC! Downing has got to go. Midfield lacked any spark, they need to be supporting Suarez?

"The game was dull. No inspiration from midfield, with exception of a re-energised Enrique. Joe Allen and Henderson add no value to the team, and need to be put on the bench for a while. (it did Enrique some good. Allen's passing back and sideways is not helping the team.Shelvey must be chosen over Allen. All players were too scared to shoot for goal, and instead looked to pass it to Suarez. "

"'Oxino' agree with all you say, throw in downings reluctance to overlap enrique and gerrard looking lost, its a good job defenders are playing well. Still a work in progress and lucas back soon so not all bad. Good to see a confident ,strong and safe display from pepe"

"Brendan should sometimes be brave and sub Stevie when things are not going his way. Suso, Allen and Shelvey/Sahin could have added little something for the last 30 minutes. Downing and Cole on the bench or in stands against Spurs. Hendo is doing better with less on his shoulders this season and will come good."
