What a great player Nuri Sahin! He showed all his repertoire as midfield maestro in the last two outings, has the pedigree to become top-class and follow the steps of his former teammate and former LFC Xabi Alonso who I believe has given his blessing to come to Liverpool. Unarguably a great buy.
""football players r no different 2 plumbers, joiners or bricklayers. They r self-employed & us as medics, coaches & managers r the tools that help them 2 be better... but if they don't want 2 show that self-motivation, & if u haven't got that desire & hunger 2 succeed, then it can be very difficult for you "
Sahin definitely's got the fight and bite"
"we should get a clause in there,if we haven't already. I'd hate to see the mancs get a hold of Nuri. there are some much tougher tests ahead of course, but over the last couple of games he has been very impressive, a real leader."
"Rotate him and Shelvey behind the striker I say. We really need players to make runs into the box from that position and my only criticism of Gerrard there is that he plays too much like a midfielder rather than a striker in that role."
"Nuri has stated that he would like to stay at Liverpool permanently, and it is part of the loan deal. This looks like a deal done, if the player except terms at the end of the season. He knows if he goes anywhere else with a big squad of talented players, he'd not have a starting role for sure. Lets hope he stays for good!"
"what we alwasy needed...someone to replace Alonso and free up Stevie G ..or take up the front end while Stevie roams free in the center..
Inspired loanee Sahin...wish we could keep him for good "
"As much as love for Sahin to stay, i do have doubt as Real Madrid will want him to be their in their squad as potential replacement to their aging team.
Even they might want to off load him in the end, i dont think he will come with price that is within FSG reach or imagination. I would just enjoy the moments for as long he is with us."
"i love being able to talk about keeping players, and not moaning about having poor ones or the team play in general. Buck is doing great things. I'm fully behind him now. Sahin looks decent, be nice to keep him if he keeps this form up"
"I really like Sahin. He is so comfortable on the ball and like Alonso does not get rushed into passing the ball. significantly he gets forward and the way he lifted the ball over the keeper for his goal was class."
"So whats the likely price for nuri? wage?, dont see him being a bargain coming from real and he is recognised as a top talent across Europe which will keep the price up. If its like 25 mill +135k a week i just dont see him staying, 15m +90k maybe."
"Sahin is a class act, but there are a few teams out there that like to attack through the middle with pace, this will be tough for us with the likes of sahin lucas and not so much but allen lacking out and out pace. Guess thats when hendo can come in and offer his best attribute that engine!"
"Very tidy player that actually gets in goalscoring positions but doesnt get the right pass at times. that will change as the season goes on and he will grow into the league as its still new to him"
"what a player still abit of game rust but in about 5 games will be brilliant his eye for a pass is superb just a pity we lose him at the end of the season because his price will rocket prob be man u or arsenal player next season the yanks wont back br ynwa"
"good determined player. one for the future. there is a couple more great prospects playing for dortmund: such as Mario Gotze (wonderkid) and Mats Hummels looks solid in defence. "
"This is a really strange situation...believe it or not, Sahin is better off having a mediocre season this year, Real Madrid hold all the aces in this one. They can just bring him back next season if he has a stormer. Steady, useful season is what's needed. We know he is quality and will prove to be."
