Superb, without doubt the best man for the job. Having watched Swansea at Anfield this season it was the only game i came away from not feeling disappointed or frustrated with the point - Swansea played very very well. Best of luck Mr. Rodgers. Come on you Reds.
"Rodgers is definitely my cup of tea.....do you get it? tea lady? tea? cup of tea? come on lads if I have to explain it it stops being funny. Cup of tea meaning, that he is my kind of person and the fact he made a bee line to the tea lady I made play on words, no? Ah forget it! Jeez..."
"Quite right too, Brendan. Don't disrespect the tea lady. Bring her down and the whole edifice crumbles. Good luck in your new role. We will support you. YNWA"
"Buddha- LOL, we get what you mean..well I got what you meant..know smileys necessary :D. I've mentioned the tea-lady quite a few times in the past on here..great to finally see her lol. Can I take this opportunity to thank the owners for bringing such an exciting, talented manager to our LFC family. They've been slaughtered on here recently..but I knew they'll get it right. Thank You."
"if we play the boring possesion type of football as swansea did, as barcelona does, it will be hard to watch lfc games from now on, this is not the "pass and move" style i was hoping for to be established"
"I want to also praise KD...for his kind words to BR. I know I wasn't a fan of his management style..but that does not mean I'm not an admirer of him. King Kenny. Now to the nitty gritty...did anyone notice when BR was talking about not approving of the DOF role.. they switched camera angles..and you was able to see Tom Werner in the background..lol intriguing."
"Its unofficial but Suarez is leaving. Did anyone also notice when Rodgers said he's looking forward to working with the big names and talented players..Suarez did not get a mention?? I bet he was told not to mention his name..as he would soon be leaving. Or am I reading too much into that?"
"I've been busy the majority of the day..so this is my chance to officially welcome Brendan Rodgers to LFC. Bienvenido señor <-- don't worry Rodgers will be able to read that. :D"
"BUDDA 131313:I hope the majority of us were able to recognize your "catch frase"without your explanation. Let's face it. If wit was t*t, you'd never need to wear a bra!"
"TOMOKOP84- Lol, to be honest no I haven't...but to be fair..I bet there are lots of fans who are feeling just as jubilant as our good friend Buddha. YNWA"
"Haha, I'm not sure Melwood will be good enough for him?? At Swansea, they used the local leisure centre and he had a cleared out storage cupboard as his office :P"
"I reckon Mr Rodgers is gonna be just fine. I've got a really good feeling about this. FSG conducted themselves very well too. To start by praising KK was spot on. This guy is gonna revolutionise LFC, and I can't wait!"
"'BRodgers and The Char Lady', now that has a real ring to it, could make a great short film! Sorta Wallace and Grommit type 'o'thing, there could be something in this you know."
"ashwind, don't think Buddha knows more than any manager, thing about being a good critic is you learn to observe things well over a period of time, patterns of behaviour begin to emerge, you start to make intelligent guesses that keep being proved right. Buddha is very good at it I'm afraid. "
"my question is simple what if we finish 8th position ? should we look for another manager and the best manager here is bhudda i think we should appoint him then :-) "
"Seems like he got a fine lesson on how to win fans heart, don't know much about him other than the Swansea game.. but was more excited to see Kenny at Baltimore"
"He's home nation, seems relaxed, has European experience, seems realistic, talks about the le not just top four, so has vision has LFC breeding through Dad and Grandad and seems humble. I like him and think FSG got the right man and have shown some LFC spirit. Let's ALL get behind him and the team and hope this is the start of something good. BR, good luck. YNWA."
"ashwind, you are a good judgement of character. Don't mind Loz99 he is just jealous. Wow, I am getting so many compliments today, its good to see that bribery still works in this day and age. I am doing my badges in preparation to when LFC calls for my astute services - I mean how difficult can this managing lark really be, eh? "
"exactly what we have been in need of a man with a plan a man with a vision and most of all a man with ambition welcome to anfield mr. rodgers Y.N.W.A"
"Welcome to anfield mr Rodgers now please get these players to play , get them to win the next game they play and hopefully we can come somewhere . Thank you in advance."
"bhuddah be it u or other ppl who wanted king kenny's head i just hope u gonna do same if br fails in his task ... i dnt hv any prob with u all i want is u act same with any manager who fails to bring glory to our club .... cheers "
"Well, I had mixed feelings initially when he was offered the job. Just a bit of concern with his lack of experience at the top level. Now after having watched his first interview, I am convinced he is a very special person for his age. He has that truly commanding presence about him when you watch him. Just the right person for the club. Welcome aboard, Mr Rodgers."
"'I will give everything I have got for this club' what an awesome statement from BR. Inspirational instantly. Imagine Gerro hearing that. There'll be no more passengers at LFC that's for sure. I can't wait for our future now. A redeveloped Anfield (which is gonna happen now as the residents 'light issue' is resolved) will ice the cake for me. Whoever doubted FSG- shame on you."
"Bredan clearly has a vision and I believe he will in time take us to the top and the glory we desire. I am excited by his style of play and approach. A new era and a new season approach, one thing is for sure, true LFC fans will be behind both Brendan and the team 100% through the up and downs until glory is ours once again."
"I'm respectful of most opinions- but negativity on such a positive day I just don't get. LFC will be a lot more successful if people offer support and encouragement. Look to the future . 'The futures bright, the futures Brendan'! (I like that, got 'banner' potential for sure!:)lol)"
"Well the PR seems to be getting better after a total absence of it over the last few weeks. Don't see why B&W photos have been used though, is that meant to add gravitas to the historical connection with the Shankly images on the wall? Anyway, regardless of the truth/spin on "The Don" being a man of the people I just hope he gets things moving in the right direction on the pitch."
"I was there at the Swansea-Anfield game and remember us applauding the Swans more than our lot, love the way he plays football and have high hopes, think it's better to have someone previously unrelated to the club"
"My dark cloud is lifting a bit.. I am starting to think "why not?" this bloke seems to be a bloke worth a try.. Gutsy from fsg but hey, maybe they are right about this guy."
"we all just gotta get behind him and keep our fingers crossed he can get us moving in the right direction again. hope he has an eye for recruiting good players. we have been lacking in that area for a long time now!"
"All the best for Rodgers, action speaks louder than words. Get your action on the field. I still say FSG has made the biggest mmistake in getting Rodgers as LFC manager. FSG look back at the history, study it and you will know why LFC is so important to us .
