Proposed Anfield Stadium Expansion
We are proud to announce that Liverpool Football Club has submitted its planning application to redevelop Anfield Stadium to Liverpool City Council.
The applications are for detailed planning consent to expand the Anfield Main Stand with associated public realm and outline consent for the expansion of its Anfield Road Stand.
If planning permission is granted, the proposals would see the capacity of a new Main Stand rise by c.8,300, taking the overall Anfield capacity to around 54,000. The outline proposals for the Anfield Road stand provide for an increase in its capacity of around c.4,800 seats, taking the total stadium capacity to c.58,500.
The formal consultation process for the planning application is being undertaken by Liverpool City Council as local planning authority. Any formal comments should be directed to Liverpool City Council by accessing the planning Public Access website and entering the application reference number. The application number is 14F/1262 and the application documents can be viewed using the following link: http://liverpool.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/search-and-track-current-applications/
The application is expected to be considered by the city's planning committee later this year.
