Liverpool have lost interest in signing Southampton's Adam Lallana and have turned their attentions to Xherdan Shaqiri, according to reports.
The Reds have grown weary in the race for the Saints star, with the south coast club holding out for more than the £20m offered, and are ready to launch a £16m offer for the Swiss starlet.
The Daily Mail report the 22-year-old is keen on a move to Anfield, having seen first-team opportunities restricted at the Bundesliga side.
Shaqiri is currently on World Cup duty with Switzerland.
