Liverpool are locked in a four-way fight to land Argentina international Marcos Rojo after Paris Saint-Germain joined the race for his signature.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a top-class defender to plug his leaky defence and Rojo, who has impressed for Sporting Lisbon since moving to the Portuguese capital in 2012, is on his radar.
But the 24-year-old, who can play at centre-back and at left-back, is also coveted by a trio of European sides.
Barcelona and Monaco are keen to tempt him away, as are Ligue 1 champions PSG, who could move for Rojo if they decide to cash in on Marquinhos this summer.
Rojo, who has previously been trailed by Arsenal, is under contract at Sporting Lisbon until the summer of 2016.
