Liverpool are keen on Australian A-League star Marco Rojas - but his club Melbourne Victory believe he will stay for now.
Rojas has scored 10 goals in 15 league matches for Melbourne so far this season and clubs across the world have watched him in action.
Melbourne have resigned themselves to losing the New Zealand international as his contract expires at the end of the season - but they will not cash in now.
Liverpool are keen on the 21-year-old attacker, who is of Chilean descent, but Melbourne coach Ange Postecoglu believes his star asset will not leave this month
"I'm in contact with his dad very regularly and at this stage we're confident he'll stay with us until the end of the season," Postecoglou said.
"We've been in constant discussion with Marco and from our point of view we're very happy with his form this season and how he's developing and his development is a priority.
"At this stage we're comfortable with how he's going and where things are at."
