talkSPORT: LFC want Sporting forward

Liverpool are trying to strike a deal with Sporting Lisbon for Jeffren Suarez.

Brendan Rodgers' scouts have watched the forward on numerous occasions this season and have been impressed with the 24-year-old.

Suarez, who can also play on the wing, joined Sporting from Barcelona last year and has caught the eye in Portugal.

Rodgers, mindful of Liverpool's dire need for more attacking flair, has pinpointed the former Spain Under-21 international as a potential arrival and believes he will complement namesake Luis Suarez.

Quality wide attacker, but I lost sight of him since he left Barcelona, so I don't know how he is performing. Anyway he could be a decent alternative to Mertens and Tello... let's have a thought on him!
