The agent of Sevilla star Ivan Rakitic says he is still yet to agree a new contract - despite president Jose Castro's claim earlier this week that a deal had been reached.
Rakitic, who is wanted by Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea, has fewer than 17 months left on his current contract at Sevilla and his prolific form this season has prompted much speculation over his future.
President Castro revealed on Wednesday that he expects the Croatia international to pen his new deal in the coming days after a "friendly agreement" had been reached between the player and the club.
However, the midfielder's brother and agent Dejan has denied such talk, but admits he is still locked in negotiations.
He told TMW: "Is everything done for the renewal of his contract? No, there is still no [new] contract. We're talking, of course, but nothing is decided yet. We are in contract with the club, but I emphasise that there is still no news."
Rakitic, 25, has scored 10 goals in 22 league outings this term.
