talkSPORT: Afellay available again

Ibrahim Afellay could finally arrive in the Premier League after Schalke's sporting director Horst Heldt revealed the club aren't looking to extend his season long loan.

The Dutch midfielder is still under contract at Barcelona but prior to his loan move, he was deemed surplus to requirements and it is unlikely that anything has changed.

Prior to his move to Germany, there was interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham for the 26-year-old.

All three clubs are expected to revive their interest.

Only played 10 games for Schalke so far this season due to injury. Has also gone AWOl from the club ins earh of better medical advice in the Netherlands, as opposed to those at Schalke. I don't know him personally, but not sure he would be a good influence on the dressing room.
