Blackpool's new loan-signing Jonjo Shelvey has described his scoring debut in the 5-0 win over Bristol City as 'the perfect day'.
The midfielder impressed at Bloomfield Road by laying on the first goal before scoring with a 30-yard free-kick.
He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It is the perfect day for me and for my family in the stands - a great day capped off by a great goal.
"The boys have been great and have helped me settle in really well."
The 19-year-old joined Blackpool until 31 December after he approached Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish about a move.
Shelvey revealed the club was recommended to him by his Reds teammate and ex-Seasiders favourite Charlie Adam: "He mentioned the fans and how passionate they are and I've just experienced it.
"It's good for me because it's local to Liverpool and it's just a great set of fans."
