Wesley Sneijder has been warned he needs to cut his wage demands in half if he is to fulfil his Premier League dream.
Liverpool made informal enquiries about the player's situation, after the Dutch midfielder was told he can leave cost-cutting Inter Milan in this transfer window.
But they have been put off by talk of a £6million a year salary demand after tax, which equates to almost £240,000-a-week.
