Everton boss Roberto Martinez has joined the chase for Brazilian star Roberto Firmino - one of the top talents in the Bundesliga, writes Alan Nixon in the Sunday People.
Martinez's European scout is camped out watching Hoffenheim's clever South American attacking midfielder.
Firmino, 22, is also being closely monitored by Manchester United and Liverpool.
But the Premier League clubs face competition from Inter Milan.
Martinez is looking for more midfield creation with Gerard Deulofeu set to return to Barcelona in the summer.
Firmino, who has been with Hoffenheim since he was a kid, fits the bill perfectly if the price is right.
Because he has not played for Brazil, he would not automatically get a work permit and may have to sort out German citizenship to move to Britain.
However Firmino's camp are keen on the idea and that process is expected to begin shortly.
