Brendan Rodgers has remained tight-lipped over a potential transfer for Loic Remy.
The QPR striker is believed to have jetted to Boston for a medical ahead of a £8.5million move.
But despite such talk the Reds boss chose to remain coy when quizzed at a press conference in Boston on Tuesday.
"Until they are signed and agreed to come in I will only talk about them then," he said.
"I shall not talk about speculation on any player until they have signed."
The Reds triggered the Frenchman's release clause over the weekend with £80,000 personal terms also agreed.
All that remains is the formality of a medical.
Should that all go through as planned Remy will become Liverpool's fifth summer signing after Rickie Lambert, Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic.
