Liverpool have been put on alert by the news that Marseille are reportedly planning to offload Mathieu Valbuena this summer.
The Reds were linked to the France international in January and are thought to have kept tabs on the playmaker's situation at Stade Velodrome.
Their interest could be re-ignited after French publication L'Equipe claimed that the diminutive schemer is on his way out of OM this summer.
Speaking earlier this year, the 29-year-old said: "A departure? To discover something else next season could be interesting.
"It's been eight years since I am here at l'OM. I've never hidden that an experience abroad tempts me. We'll see."
Valbuena is just one of several heading for the exit door this summer, according to the report.
The publication has claimed that the Ligue 1 side are planning something of a mini exodus with Nicolas N'Koulou, Steve Mandanda and Andre Ayew all set to leave.
Goalkeeper Mandanda is a reported target for AC Milan, while Cameroon international defender N'Koulou is available for around £10m.
