Liverpool are considering making a shock bid for Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia this summer, according to reports.
The 28-year-old Ecuador international - who endured a disappointing campaign with the Red Devils last term - has just one year left to run on his current deal with United.
Valencia could be one of the many players to depart Old Trafford in the coming months with incoming boss, Louis van Gaal, set to make a host of changes to the United squad once he takes charge following the World Cup.
With Valencia's future potentially in the balance, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is understood to be considering signing the versatile 28-year-old to bolster his right-flank options.
United recruited Valencia for £16m from Wigan in 2009, but it is believed that the Reds could land the winger for less than half that figure.
Valencia is currently with the Ecuador squad at the World Cup in Brazil.
