Liverpool have made a £14.2million bid for Xherdan Shaqiri as they look to finally land the Bayern Munich winger.
Shaqiri has been given permission to leave Bayern this summer if the price is right, and a host of clubs from all over Europe are chasing him.
But Swiss publication Blick says Liverpool are now in pole position to sign the player after making a £14.2million offer for his services.
The Reds have been following Shaqiri for the last 18 months and nope how they can complete the signing of him quickly.
Bayern are yet to accept the offer but it's thought to be close to their valuation, and Shaqiri is keen to make the switch happen.
The winger had apparently told the media earlier this week that he was staying at Bayern, but he denied giving any interviews in a post on his Facebook page.
