Chelsea are ready to go head-to-head with Liverpool to sign Real Sociedad contract rebel Antoine Griezmann.
The France winger, who rejected a new contract with Sociedad two weeks ago, looks all but certain to depart La Liga this summer.
Liverpool have been linked with a £20million bid for Griezmann, but now Spanish newspaper Sport says Chelsea have also joined the race.
Griezmann is expected to sort out his future next week when he returns from a post-World Cup holiday, and all the suggestions are that he's heading for England.
Arsenal have previously been linked with the player but it's believed that they've dropped their interest, having swooped for Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.
That leaves Chelsea in a straight fight with Liverpool for a player who is regarded as one of the finest widemen in Europe.
