Liverpool are considering an improved bid for Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

An offer of £6.7million was rejected over the weekend and Brendan Rodgers may raise it to around £8m for the 20-year-old.

Rodgers has also been linked with Sevilla's Argentine defender Federico Fazio, 25.
