Liverpool have made a final offer to Inter Milan in an attempt to conclude a deal for Philippe Coutinho.
The Anfield club have not increased their £7.2million bid for the Brazilian midfielder, who is also a target for Southampton, but restructured it in a way that would see Inter receive more money up front.
Negotiations have dragged on since Liverpool's opening offer was rebuffed last Friday and boss Brendan Rodgers is aware a time may come when Liverpool have to walk away from the deal.
