Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon for teenager Joao Carlos.
Carlos, 19, is set to move to Anfield in a deal worth £1 million, according to the Guardian, after impressing scouts with his displays in the NextGen series of youth-team matches earlier this campaign.
The midfielder, who has not made a senior first-team appearance for the side, is highly-rated in his native Portugal and has been compared to Deco, but Sporting have been forced to part ways with his services due to their financial difficulties.
Liverpool technical manager Jose Segura is believed to have spotted the youngster from a Sporting academy which has boasted the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Luis Figo.
