Rodolfo Borrell paid tribute to his U19s after they beat Marseille 2-0 in the NextGen Series third and fourth place play-off at Chelsea's Cobham training ground.
The Reds had been hammered 6-0 by Ajax in the semi-finals but finished their European campaign on a high against the French outfit.
Michael Ngoo and Adam Morgan were both on target, while Jack Robinson played for 65 minutes on his return from injury.
Borrell said: "It was a fantastic performance from the lads and I am proud of them.
"It was a great way for us to bounce back from the Ajax game and it was a good way to end our first season in the NextGen Series.
"Marseille are a very good team who beat Barcelona in the group stages and our lads did extremely well.
"The NextGen Series has been a great experience for the lads. We have a young squad and we have played against strong and experienced teams. They have a learned a lot for the future."
Liverpool: Ward, McLaughlin, Wisdom, McGiveron, Robinson, Coady, Roddan, Ibe, Adorjan, Morgan, Ngoo.
Inter Milan were crowned the inaugural NextGen Series champions after beating Ajax on penalties at Leyton Orient.
Samuele Longo put Inter ahead but Stefane Denswil's free-kick in the second half restored parity and it finished 1-1 after extra-time.
