Leeds United want to take Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing on loan.

The 21-year-old Scouser, who has captained the club at youth level, is considered a big prospect at Anfield and boss Rafa Benitez is keen to get him out on loan. 

Elland Road boss Simon Grayson is interested and hopes to seal a deal.

i think we should let him go, the 1st team experience at that level will do him the world of good and help him prove he is good enough to make the step up
