Reports in Spain are claiming that Liverpool have agreed personal terms on a one-year deal with former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, with the free agent set to link up with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Mario Balotelli imminently.
The Spain international declared he would be leaving the Nou Camp midway through last season before suffering cruciate ligament damage, ruling him out for a large part of the La Liga campaign.
Earlier reports suggested that Brendan Rodgers was waiting to see if Valdes could prove his fitness before penning a deal, but it now appears that the keeper will link up with the Reds shortly even though he may not be fully match-fit for at least another month.
