Alberto Moreno is set to push through a move to Liverpool after agreeing to drop his wage demands.
Reports yesterday suggested that Liverpool were confident of sealing a move for the Spanish defender before the end of the week.
But fresh reports in Spain claim that Moreno is set to reduce his wage demands to ensure there are no hitches in the final stages of negotiations.
While Liverpool are thought to be merely hashing out the finer details of a deal with Sevilla, Moreno is keen to do everything in his power to ensure he gets a move to Anfield.
Moreno reportedly agreed personal terms with the Reds earlier this summer, only to see talks between Liverpool and Sevilla reach an impasse.
But after striking out in their pursuit of Ben Davies and Ryan Bertrand Liverpool have been forced back to the negotiating table.
And Moreno is presumably of the view that any cut he takes in wages will provide Liverpool with more resources to meet Sevilla's demands.
Indeed, the reports suggest that Moreno is happy to take the pay cut given the substantial increase in salary he will receive as a result of making the move to England.
It now seems only a matter of time before Moreno is confirmed as a Liverpool player, with the 22-year-old seemingly determined to see that the move goes through.
